We fine-tune realistic environmental lighting—including sunlight, volumetrics, and bounce light—alongside artificial setups to create deep, immersive atmospheres. Depending on the scene's mood, we integrate particle effects to further enhance the spatial density and cinematic feel.

We typically utilize a classic three-point lighting foundation, meticulously layering bounce and ambient lights to harmonize the character with their environment.

Standard projects often stop at basic mocap cleanup. We push the boundaries. The subtle difference between a gaze leading a head turn, or vice versa, creates a massive emotional impact. Because virtual avatars can inherently feel "artificial," we painstakingly hand-refine micro-movements—body angles, finger twitches, eye tracking, and facial expressions—to perfectly suit the camera angle. Our ultimate goal is to shatter the virtual barrier and forge a genuine emotional connection with the audience.

I treat cinematography as the art of capturing true moments. Even though I am working with digital data, the right camera movement breathes life into the subject. I study the performance repeatedly, syncing the camera's rhythm with the artist's breath and movement. This deep, immersive connection with the subject is my core philosophy as a director.

Color Grading
The most beautiful virtual is real
We render lossless sequences from Unreal Engine and perform meticulous color correction and grading in DaVinci Resolve. Rather than applying overly stylized filters, we aim to extract the most authentic, beautiful tones that enhance the narrative and emotional weight of the scene. Human memory captures feelings that a raw camera lens cannot; my role as a colorist is to translate those profound emotions into light and color.
